Noah Grunberg of Noble Home and JASONOAH shared with me this weekend his client’s blog charting her Noble Home being completed on Cape Cod.

Noble Homes are green, modern, and easy to construct. Each Noble Home is designed for each specific owner and building site to maximize natural resources such as views and solar energy. Learn more about the project at http://greentwig.blogspot.com/.

I’ve been thinking LVL Home again lately. My wife likes it better than the container home idea and, to be honest, it’s probably cheaper and easier than a custom container home design. If only we were ready to sell and move on.
My latest aspiration is an LVL Home with a finished basement, like Jim & Rui’s in Maine (pdf), which is open for tours June 14th. I had been thinking a PowerPod for a detached home office, but am now wanting an LVM to match the main house.
Anyway, I came across a few photosets and features on the LVL home today. Enjoy!

Note that says “Green House” and not greenhouse.
I’m excited about anything that comes out of Ithaca, NY — I attended Ithaca College there — and two Cornell Solar Decathlon team members have now launched FreeGreen, “making green home designs free to everyone!” (Inhabitat)

From our own backyard in MA (Lawrence to be precise). I’m totally sold on a PowerPod for a back or sideyard office. I haven’t found any pricing yet, though. If you’d like a smart full-size home, check out the PowerHouse.

If you know me, you know I’m a big fan of shipping container homes. Via Grassroots Modern:
a seven story condo made of orange shipping containers dubbed “City Center Lofts” is planned for construction in downtown Salt Lake City.
